For those of you who have not heard, nor used IRC before, it's an online program (free of course) that allows you to connect to different online servers and chat with users across the globe. I've taken the time to set-up our channel, and the details are that of below: Server: irc.gamerz0ne.com Channel: #outline Members will need to register their nicknames before I can add you to the access list (giving you an appropriate voice in the channel). Note that this is only optional, though we do recommend that you take a moment to register your nickname. To register, type the following in the channel window: /ns register email_here password_here After that, you should receive a confirmation message detailing that your nickname has been successfully registered. After this, each time you connect to IRC, you will need to identify. Type the following to identify: /ns identify password_here There we have it. You can now join in the fun, and take part in the discussion we have there. I will be looking into scripting a bot specifically to our needs, that will offer numerous commands and services such as the latest news, random quotes/jokes, rosters and more. They can use this Mibbit applet to auto join from their browser. We could also do what was done with the old Outline shout box and make a new web page and embed the applet there.
