The sig in itself is quite good. Major issues include high contrast on the left side, the placement and visibility of the name and the choice of background design.

Firstly, the render on the right has too much contrast. The contrast is so strong that it leaves it choppy on the edges. I know it adds very nice depth and lighting with the white on one side an the black on the other, but in this case there is too big a difference. To change this, I suggest getting a brush and painting it black behind the render then giving the black part a gaussian blur. Then drop the opacity of the render. Otherwise, if you kept the original render and it wasn't as bright, simply brighten it less.

Secondly, the text placement leaves it almost invisible. What I like to do it make it white and set the layer to overlay. This is the same techniques as glossing. In your case, this may look good if you placed it to the right of the render's head. Also, I suggest using a more grungy text to match with the splatter on the render's shirt.

Lastly, the background choice is not great. While the render has a more urban look the background seems to be nature / tribal. The contrast of the two doesn't suit it in this case. As with the text, I would go for a more grungy urban look. Furthermore, the choice of tiles doesn't suit it what-so-ever. It would however suit a backdrop of the side of a building with graffity.

Overall the sig is nice, but the flow isn't really there and the contrast is overpowering.

The second sig is better though not by far. The only things that let it down would have to be that there is no focal, the darkness and the random things behind the render.

Firstly, you need to get out a brush and lighting some parts of the renders. The focal should be coing from the left, but the only part that shows it is the render on the right. The background sort of give the idea that the focal is from on top so I suggest maybe top right. This is gives more depth and flow and in this case, will make the render more visible.

Secondly, the sig is far too dark. You have darkness everywhere and I suggest adding borders on the top and bottom. This will allow the top and bottom to stand out while the sides fade in. Having a border means you won't need to darken the bottom to add the focal and will make the render more visible. I like to have a 3px black border on top and bottom and a 1px white overlay border at the top and bottom.

Lastly, the dropshadow things behind the render doesn't work at all. What I suggest is getting the render and seleting around it, then paint it black and set the layer to overlay, then send it behind the render and gaussian blur it about 20px. This will give a better effect.

Overall the sig is far too dark and you have failed to determine a focal point.

I hope that helped and good luck with future ones!

You're welcome. Also, for the text on the second one, I would do the same as on the first what I suggested and place the text in the light of the background.
