I'm on chrome and I'm not clearing my cache (thus deleting all my passwords) just to see a site that I visit maybe once a month.

Choosing between MyBB and phpBB largely comes down to personal opinion and preferences, what you care most about, etc. Personally, I find the phpBB admin panel to be disorganized and hard to use, while MyBB's is much easier to use and figure out. You also need to consider which software will have a theme that you like, or if you can get someone to make a custom theme for you that you like. You can get that for either, but you may have preference on price, the designer, coder, etc. that all comes into play. You really should do your own research into all of the different forum scripts and find what's best for you, most of them will offer demos (IcyBoards may not, but MyBB does and you can relate the two together) and you should use the demos to help you make your decision. Using one software over another won't make your forum successful by itself, though it is a factor that mainly relies on how well you know how to use the script and modify for your forum. |
