well, for starts I always think of Outline as more of a dark blue personally. Then the text should be a basic font, it is hard to read signatures with odd fonts

make it dark blue. Use Verdana or Arial as the font and then add some gloss :) good first though

I like the font, maybe not for Outline though. Needs more blending, gloss, etc.

Winter is coming.
The blending styles have options so play with those a bit. A yellow inner or outter glow is rarely going to look good. ;)

I realize you're just playing around and getting in to the aspects of Photoshop so good job as far as that goes. :D

I like it better than the first, but you should put that black border all the way around or not at all imo.

Yes, definitely better. The stroke (border) is a bit too thick, though, and the background is really plain. Try using more blend modes (Overlay, Soft Light, Screen, Multiply).

Yeah, that one is your best yet. imo. Don't make the text on such a low opacity and do more than just a pattern background and text. :)

I just suggested smaller text and a smaller canvas size. xD

Yeah, tutorials will definitely come in handy.

Take out the inner shadow and replace it with a 1px inner stroke with a color just darker than the background
