I don't waste my time watching fixed sports.
How do you know that all other sports arent fixed?
None of the other sports are completely obvious like this is.
Neither is Professional Wrestling.
Your opinion is a minority, I'm afraid.
That does not matter. The fact is, you made a false statement that i am correcting you on.
Why is my statement false? It's my opinion, just like yours.
You're statement is false because you stated that sports arent obviously fixed like Wrestling, where the fact is, unless you are part of the booking team, yoou dont know the end of the match. You dont know how it is going to end, so it is not obvious.

Story line? Please. That's just a hoax to get people to want to actually spend money to go watch wrestling. Those story lines you speak of are just as fixed as the winner of a match is.

Lemme ask you this: Do you ever watch TV? Shows like White Collar? Or do you even watch movies? Read books?(yes this has a point)
Just because you don't know how the winner will be does not change the fact that it's fixed. The winner is decided before, and nothing changes that. In other sports, you have comebacks, you have upsets. A baseball team scoring 5+ in the bottom of the ninth to win it, a Football team getting a touchdown in the last 10 seconds of the game to win it. These things are what makes Sports fun to watch. Wrestling is decided beforehand, so no matter who you root for, it won't change a thing. This is what makes Wrestling boring and a complete waste of time.

Yes, I watch TV occasionally, I don't want many TV shows though. Mainly to watch Baseball, Basketball, and occasionally Football. I do read books and watch movies. And yes, they too have predetermined story lines and outcomes. Are they like Wrestling? In a way yes, in a way no. Wrestling is an act, or to say, it's comparable to a movie or a play. But to call it a sport is an insult to all the other sports out there.

And for you to say its not a sport is very ignorant. Have you ever wrestled a match?

And you have upsets in wrestling too.

Upsets in wrestling is the management deciding it's time for a new "star" to rise so people will spend money to go see him and on his merchandise.

I actually don't spend money on Books, movies, nor TV. And once I get my own place, I won't spend money on TV for the shows. It'll be so I can watch the News at night for anything important.

Anyways, no, I've never wrestled, and quite honestly, I've never had interest in being half naked and piling on top of other half-naked men. The fact that I've never wrestled doesn't determine the fact that Wresting is only a play that two paid "professionals" put on.

In a play, actors are paid to act out a predetermined story line. Wresting is no different.

@Wrestling: So how do you know its not athletic?

@Plays: And people go out an pay a lot of money for that aswell.

My point is, that wrestling maybe predetermined, but it doesn't make it less of a sport then anything else. And it doesn't make it any more entertaining then anything else.

So you admit that it's predetermined? I don't see how that can be considered a sport.

Yes. I never disputed the fact that it was predetermined.

And it is a sport. Its acrobatic. Its some martial arts, ammature wrestling, nd pure fighting all mixed into theatre and hollywood.

The only thing Wrestling has would be organized and entertaining, and considering it says AND and not OR, it's not a sport. Sorry Rubez, better luck next time.

Because there's is no chance for one of them to win. Fair play is for both of them to go out there with a chance at winning.

Is using loaded dice fair play? No.

They both go out there and put on one hell of a match, and either one of them COULD win. So i dont see how that isnt fair play.

No, neither of them can win. It's PREDETERMINED so that ONE of them will win NO MATTER WHAT. If Wrestler A is told he's going to win, there is no hope for Wrestler B to win, because he's been told to lose, and that is what his job would be.

Again, my loaded dice example is perfect for this. If you're using loaded dice, is it fair play? No one knows the dice are loaded, they won't know you're going to win. So does that justify it and make it fair play then? Even though the other plays have no chance to win?

Except the fact that there's not much competition in Wrestling when the winner is already predetermined.

Going out and wrestling infront of 15,000-80,000 people is very competitive. Does it matter if the winner is already determined? They still go out and have to be competitive to put on a good show.

@Madyy- It is a show. But so is any other professional sport.

How is it not a sport? Do they go out and have a major work out? Do they get hurt? Do they compete? YES!

I may be repeating anything that's already been said, but oh well.

They may get a work out and they may be hurt, but how is it a competition? If you compete for something, you're both aiming for the same goal - being the winner. In wrestling, they already know who's going to be the winner, so where's the competition in that?!
