They are still aimiing for something. They may not be aiming to win that match, but they are aiming to make it up the ladder. So there is part of the competition. They are also competeing to put on the best match, they are competing to stand out from the other person. |

The only thing they aim for is putting on an act for the crowd. There is NO competition against each other because THE WINNER IS ALREADY DETERMINED WAY AHEAD OF TIME. That alone dismisses any argument that wrestling does have competition. |

Light that never goes out.

I used to follow the WWE a lot. Then it just became worse, and worse, and worse. It really isn't as entertaining as it used to be for me. I watched this year's Royal Rumble. There were some pretty good moments but for the most part, I was somewhat disappointed. What the hell was up with that dude winning, anyway?

Wrestling always bored me tbh. The video games can be fun but watching the show isn't. |

I am a huge Wrestling Fan even my forum below as a Wrestling Section. Anyway, Yes wrestling is scripted you guys are right and it is fake, however accidents do happen and the planned finish does not always happen and they have to change it on the spot, and mind you it's hard to do, considering it's Live on TV especially if you watching WWE RAW which obviously is a Live Broadcast. There were four incidents I can think of from the top of my head. 1) Owen Hart (God Rest His Soul) he was suppose to descend from the ceiling as The Blue Blazer at the Over The Edge PPV of 1999 and something went wrong and he fell from the ceiling, hitting his chest on the turnbuckle, and found at on the same show, that Owen Hart tragically died. 2) Beth Phoenix vs Candice Michelle, Candace was "Scripted" to somersault and land on her feet from the Turnbuckle because Beth Phoenix has to move out of the way, but Candice landed on head and Beth Phoenix just had to pin to finish the match and surprisingly the camera stayed on her, and she was clearly unconscious, they gave her a bottle of water. 3) When Joey Mercury and Johnny Nitro (aka John Morrison) vs Jeff & Matt Hardy in a TLC Match there was a botched spot where Joey Mercury got a ladder straight to his nose and his profusely bleeding and had to leave the match, and Morrison had to continue that match on his own. 4) WWF Judgement Day 2000 - HHH v The Rock The main event for this pay per view was a 60 min iron man match (most falls in an hour wins) for the WWF title. The participents were HHH (the CHALLENGER) v The Rock (the Champion) with Shawn Michaels (HBK) as the guest referee. The first slip up was in the intros, as HHH, the challenger was introduced as the champion!! The biggest slip up was the end of the match though. The scripted ending was that HHH's cohorts would come to the ring and assault the Rock with the fall count 5 each. The Undertaker (making his return after a 9 month absence) would come down and clear the ring of them and Chokeslam and Tombstone HHH. This would mean that The Rock was dqd by HBK and HHH would lead 6- The Rock would then cover HHH but with HBK about to make the 3 count the 60mins would expire meaning HHH would win. However they sent the Undertaker out to late and the 60mins expired as he was chokeslaming HHH and leaving the planned ending null and void. Luckily HBK was looking at The Undertaker when he nailed the move and some quick thinking by HBK (telling the announcer to dq The Rock due to outside interference) everything was ok. This also explains why the 'did HBK screw the Rock angle ' which aired next night on raw was dropped and never ended, as it was never meant to be but had to be introduced to cover up the ending flub. So it may scripted or FAKE but anything can happen, and most importantly anything can go wrong and not according to the script as such Edited by Warren, Monday, 7. February 2011, 03:59.

That is true, the sick ladder shot to the face, made John Morrison go solo in the match, which too be honest Morrison was good at Improvising which was excellent.
