This lawsuit is completely laughable. Gamestop is not responsible for what the box of the game says. What are they suppose to do, white it out? What a joke.

It's a love story, baby just say yes
They don't even sell used games in their original boxes, as far as I know, it's just the game cartridge/disc in a sleeve. And besides, the customer knows the game is used and should realize that it's not going to be like it would be new.

GS will send their corporate lawyers to court and this will be done without a hassle at all.

And, on the box, they are being sued, because the used games are going against what the game developers want, with the boxes saying "NOT FOR RESALE."

They sell games in the original cases if they are provided with them. If someone brings in a disc without the case, then it's sold in one of their own game cases.

Trust me, I use Game Stop a lot. Never had a problem with them, and always get good service. Buying used games is actually a great way to get good conditioned games at a cheap price. You'd be surprised how many people buy a new game, play it for maybe a week, and trade it in at Game Stop. Plus there's a lot of games they don't sell in stores anymore you can find at Game Stop, and sometimes buying it online is extremely expensive.

Sure, sometimes you get a game that doesn't work. But that's the risk you take upon buying a used game, and that's why they give you a period of time to bring it back. Get a bad game? Just bring it back and exchange it. Easy as that.

Anyways, back to what you posted. Yes, people should know it's used, and if there's free downloadable content, they should know via common sense that it's probably used already. So to think they have a legit lawsuit is just stupid.

[The stuff about buying used games was to those who are knocking it.]
