Some of my favorites: HARRY POTTER series, The Mortal Instruments, The Hunger Games trilogy, Inheritance series, etc.

Re-reading TMI again right now haha. :D Those books make me happyyy =] OH and there's gonna be a movie for THG COMING OUT NEXT YEAR. asdflaskdjf so excited for that. And obviously the last HP movie this year :( Wish someone would make a movie out of TMI..I would explode.

Ah and what about some books you used to like as a kid?
Mine were the Artemis Fowl series haha. :D My first forum was actually an AF fan forum. :o

I like books that have a good story but are also easy to follow. If they get very complicated, there needs to be a movie made about it. lol.

None in particular, I really don't read that much. I do like Caroline B. Cooney's books though.

If we didn't like to read we wouldn't be on forums lol.

I used to love reading, but the for the last year or two it's been too much of a drag. I hardly find tine to get my homework done and get in a decent nights sleep lol. I do read occasionally, but definitely not as much as I used to.

Some of my favorite - HP, Twilight series, Artemis Fowl, The Hunger Games, Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, The Lost Years of Merlin series, and some more that I can't remember atm.

Talking about them makes me want to read them again lol.

My taste in books is similar to my taste in music: I like a little bit of everything (minus the non-fiction genre... could never get much into those). =] I haven't been able to read very much lately, but fully intend to catch up on my leisure reading once I finish up high school here.

At the moment, I'm working through Jane Austen's "Emma." I loved the movie so much I just had to go and pick up the book. I really like it so far.

Also--I adored the "Artemis Fowl" series when I was younger. I kind of want to go back and read these newer books... I think I stopped after the one with the orange cover.
Every time I see your face,
My heart takes off on a high speed chase.
Now don't be scared, it's only love
That we're falling in.

Sad boy. :(

I lurve books, they rock! I don't see why people hate them, book haters. (n)
The harry potter series are so cool, they're probably the best books I've read! Also, the Famous Five series by Enid Blyton were pretty good too.

I love reading! But, I'm ashamed to say, I haven't read a full book in a few months. -_-' My favourite series would be His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman and The Dark Tower by Stephen King. I did enjoy other series like Harry Potter, Abhorsen and so on as well. :7

I've only fully read (and understood) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows before. The "and understood" part being that I've had my mom read the first, and quite possibly the second even though I can't remember it, to me when I was in first grade.

As of late, there have only been two book series that I really enjoyed and read for the pleasure of reading. Those two being the Hunger Games trilogy, and also the Percy Jackson series. Both were really great, in my opinion. There's something about fantasy that I just love, whereas non-fiction and things of the sort really bore me (to sleep). What's funny is that I was introduced to both series by two of my least favorite (English) teachers. In 6th grade, my English teacher was looking for people interested in something similar to a book club, so I decided to join since it meant free food (mostly Dunkin' Donuts) while we discussed the book. And just recently, this year in fact, my English teacher made it mandatory that we read the first in the Hunger Games trilogy. It was so good, I decided to get ahead of the class. I was nearly done with the third book while the rest of the class was not even done with the first.

Aside from all of that, books bore me (like I said before). Even some, if not most, other fantasy series/books don't interest me. Believe me, I've read the first few pages of them all before. Right now I'm reading The Thief Lord. which I do not believe consists of a whole series. It's pretty good so far (only up to page 85), but people have told me that it gets worse and worse as you progress so I'll just have to continue reading to find out.

AHH PERCY JACKSON. I forgot all about those! D:
And for the Thief Lord, I honestly loved it :P It doesn't really get "worse" but more like, "weirder". It twists into a stranger plot rather than going into something you'd expect would happen.

Oh! I want to do my English research paper on the Hunger Games but my English teacher is sorta against it because it doesn't have much "depth". Bulllll. I can make it happen.

We had to right about the Hunger Games book, but our English teacher limited us to such small, pointless, and uninteresting points/topics. For example: plot. There's only so much you can say about a plot of a story, yet she expects at least two pages. The same goes for setting. HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY WRITE TWO PAGES ABOUT WHERE THE STORY TAKES PLACE? :@

Does your English teacher know that you don't know the difference between right and write? :P

Recently I've been finding myself hard to cut down on pages xD Ah well for our paper it's about any written work we want to write about (books, poems, even songs) and then basically analyze whatever we want inside the work and what is happening in the world when the book was published.

The Thief Lord! How could I possibly forget about it! It's one of my personal favorites. I disagree with what people have told you. It get's better and better as it goes on.

I liked Inkheart/Inkspell by her also. She's a really creative author.
