This is just a holding page for my portfolio. Last year, I started learning to code HTML and CSS but never really got anywhere. I stopped for ages and picked it back up this week; I'd forgot virtually everything.

This is more or a learning experience for me, so when you give feedback I'd appreciate with options of how to fix things.

EDIT: I should mention that I tried to add the Helvetica font to the webpage but aren't entirely sure how to go about it. I'm guessing at: http://lbell.biz/<file name> but I'd appreciate help with that.

HTML

CSS

PS: The domain was free, I'm going to be using another for the final.

This reminds me of Pro's "Outline App" documentation. Nice work, it looks clean and simple. I like it. One thing I noticed, though, is that the space in-between "coming" and "soon" looks somewhat like this: []

Good "coming soon" page. I like the simplicity of it, though I think you should make your name a bit more fancy by using a different font for it. You can use Google's font api: LINK

By the way did you intentionally leave out the <html>, <head> and <body> tags?

I'm going to put some sort of hover effect on it with some CSS3 stuff that I want to test out. I'll look into changing the font or something as well at a later date.

Those tags are present. :/ I don't see what you mean.
EDIT: I do see what you mean! In the file I upload, they're present. I then save them and they're not there. I can go back in, edit it and they disappear again. The doctype and stuff goes too. Hmm.

Pizzaman, I haven't seen Pro's work on that but I can imagine being compared to him isn't such a bad thing :) Not sure what you mean about the space though :/

Oracle, yup a sprite :) Figured it made sense :)

He's referring to this. Like Oracle said, I like how you used CSS sprites :3

It was free with the hosting plan and I was waiting for my .co.uk Nameservers to change over. You can see the same thing at lbell.co.uk now.

Thanks Hector :)
