So it's 8:32 in the morning and I'm already having an awful day and am in an awful mood. There isn't too much to do about it while at work and before my boyfriend is awake, but it got me wondering what other people do when they're feeling down in the dumps. I used to take walks, though since I walk two miles every day now, that's sort of lost it's charm. Now, if neither of us are working, I talk to my boyfriend on the phone. He's got a way of keeping my mind on other things when it tries to dwell on the bad.

It really depends on why it's a bad day. I mean, it can be because you're sad about something or because you're mad about something or just because you're feeling ill. If I'm mad, I usually just play aggressive games. Try and release my anger in the virtual world. It helps to just let it out and I usually feel better afterwards. If I'm sad or ill it's a lot harder. I sometimes just try and do the things I enjoy, and if that doesn't work it sometimes ends like a bad day. |

almost always just call a friend to meet up for a drink, something to eat, go around to their house etc. usually feel better after that, especially talking about something that's bothering me if i can't do that then i'll make myself something to eat and sit infront of the TV

Use music as a mean of catharsis always works for me! Whether it's some Grind/Mathcore whenever I am truly pissed-off, some Ambiental music to find my inner-self or Post-Rock to simply relax. (: Music is the answer! Edited by Genaro, Friday, 5. August 2011, 20:10.
