Hi.
How many of you guys actually have one and actively use it? I was a YMCA member for a while but I didn't renew it this year.

I checked out this place this afternoon and it was actually really nice (look at the pictures on their site or the 360 tour, it's awesome). It almost felt like I was at a hotel. They've even got 122 acres of forest so they've got a ton of really sweet hiking trials. I actually went there because I had an appointment for xrays of my right foot (slid into a base wrong in my last baseball game and might've torn something, ergh) - had no idea it was that huge of a place. Peak Fitness is close too but I haven't had a chance to actually go inside there yet. Supposedly that one is even better (and a LOT more busy, so eh). :P

Consider this statement my permission to convert my themes to other platforms. Please link back to http://geoffreykoester.com. Be sure to rehost all theme images on the new platform as we do not know how long they will redirect. Also some boards hosting theme/skin images may not survive the move.

My dad has told me he would sign my up at the gym he goes to but never got to doing that. I'm sure I'll start going eventually, though I've never really looked into it. :P

Used to go to the gym everyday.

Now I am just a fat, lazy bastard.

Trouble will find you, she's an awfully cunning bird. And progress, it blinds you, it's in every lesson learned.
Failure leaves more room for improvement, masquerading as time well spent.
Honesty is a noble tool, I'm gonna learn to use it wisely. Reason outweighs the rules, when I lead with you behind me.
Loyalty sadly held prisoner, and pity is her only visitor.

I would never spend the money on something like a gym membership. If I was really that concerned with working on a regular basis, I'd just buy equipment for in-home use and not waste my time in a gym.

I had a gym membership for LA Fitness for about 4 years, then money problems occurred and was forced to sign up with a cheaper gym.

I went to Planet Fitness cause of the cool guest thing, basically I didn't have to pay but I would go to it if the gym wasn't so far away from where I live.

It's pointless to pay to go to a gym. :/

We have workout equipment and weight benches and stuff at home, so If I'm in a working out mood (lolno), then I just use that stuff. :P

Holy cow at first link. How much does it cost? It looks extremely premium class.

I go to 24 hour fitness. It's nowhere great but it's clean and doesn't get crowded. Another nice thing is that it's close to my house so I can do my cardio by running there (takes 10 minutes). However, my membership is gonna expire next month and I'm not renewing it.

Almost anything you can do at the gym you can do just as good at home as long as you have proper equipment. Weights, pull-up bar, and maybe a bench is all you need. Then just follow workout routines like this on the web (highly recommneded btw)

I'd rather just workout in the privacy of my own home, even if it costs more to by the equipment myself, than to buy a membership to some crappy gym where there's a bunch of other annoying people.

So I approve of this. :P

a forgotten relic.
I goto a gym in my town called Fitness Factory or FF. A small but very clean place, all the equipment are new and advanced. Ton of people go and I only pay around 30 bucks a month.

I've been contemplating getting one. A gym here in my town offers a membership for students for $10/month, but I could use my school's for free. However, I'm not sure how much time I'll actually spend on campus, so it may be worth paying for a membership.

In this world you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. Well for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant.
