Sorry, couldn't think of a topic title. I've always wondered, why is it that we assume people that are color blind are really the ones color blind? What if those who are considered color blind are the special ones who really see colors how they're supposed to be seen? The same applies to people with "abnormalities" (extra finger, toe, etc.) and other things that should be applied to this that I just can't think of at the moment.

I guess it has to do with the way they perceive things with their color or something. Maybe those that are "color blind" can't see just like us, but maybe it's possible that they can see other colors we can't D: Mind-boggling. |

Simple really. The mass becomes the standard you hold things too. More people are not colourblind thus this is seen as the standard. If you are colourblind you don't fit the standard thus you're "different." Same for the extra toe/finger. The standard is 10, so if you have more you don't follow the standard of the mass. It's could be that the colourblind and people with extra fingers/toes are actually how it's supposed to be, but we decided to use something else as the standard. |

Agreed with Rax here. I would add that things like light and physical traits/genetic disorders are a completely scientifical matter, while your hypothesis here is on a philosophical matter. Colourblinds and those afflicted with polydactylism have no more than mere mutations that only time can tell if they will result the dominant ones in our evolution, or the evolution of a part of our species. |

There are actually a lot more color blind people than you realize, most people are color blind in some way (even if just a little). |

No, I read it. Not sure how to better explain it though. If 95% of people on earth had 12 toes, that would be the norm and those with 10 toes would be the special cases. I basically said the same thing as Raxby and Hector, just in a condensed form lol.
