Posts: 33,497 Group: Administrator Member #139 Joined: Mar 24, 2008	Outline Monthly Theme F E B R U A R Y Reference: Token Central for an explanation on tokens We like to allow themers and their themes an opportunity to have the spotlight at Outline, so we have a system that allows normal themes from the database to be added to the theme selector for a month! If you're familiar with how ZNR does their monthly theme adding, it's quite similar (though a bit more strict in what we add). The key difference is the addition of the token variable. Here's a rundown of the process: About half way through the month (like now) we'll start a topic for nominations. You pay 100 tokens to nominate a new theme. Please include the link to the theme you're nominating when you post. Agreeing with or 'seconding' a nomination does not cost tokens - there is no real benefit for doing this in the thread except for your own personal entertainment if you wish. Nominated themes must be available in our databases at Outline. Nominated themes must have all or most^[1] graphics, and be free of defaults or major bugs. A winning theme can not be nominated for the two months following its win. (I.E. if a theme wins in September, it can then be nominated again in December) We reserve the right to refuse nominated themes based on bugs, quality, etc. A week or so before the end of the month, we'll put up a poll. The winner becomes the theme of the month for the following month. The theme creator of the winning theme receives all money spent on the nominations, up to 1,000. (I.E. if more than 10 people nominate more than 10 unique themes) Winning theme receives considering for entry in to the Featured themes database. And that it's - pretty simple I hope (despite all of my ridiculous little details all over the place)! If you have any questions you can post or let me know. You may now begin nominating themes for February in this thread. Theme of the Month History: December 2011: Madness by Kieran January 2012: Robo by Cody ^[1] We're willing to create up to one type of graphic set for this theme (I.E. Big buttons, small buttons, etc.). Emoticons, team icons and pips are not required.
