Do you use social media (such as Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Google Plus), on your forum? If so, do you think it is actually effective? |

I did, a few years ago. I made a Facebook and a Myspace for one of my forums. It generated a little activity, but not much. I imagine Facebook might be more effective now; when I used it it still hadn't surpassed Myspace in popularity. |

The ability to use the twitter feed is my favorite aspect of any other social networking abilities by-far.

What do you mean by the ability to use the twitter feed?  I've used Twitter and Facebook before, only used Facebook on RP4M but I think Sarah has a page set up now for VFX but I've got no part in that. Occasionally I'll update our twitter, but basically only when I think about it and have something to tweet. |

If you take a look at the top right of Outline Adelyte - that is the twitter feed. |

I've been playing recently with social networking and watching the hits on a website we're developing. The hit count goes way up after a post on a social networking site. However, the registration return from that increase in hits isn't substantial. We've only had three new registrations from a social networking post, from approximately 60 visits. |
