I don't think there's a topic for this yet, so... anyone going to be watching the events? Which ones? I'm more excited to see the opening ceremony tonight than anything else really, though I'll be watching the swimming, basketball and some others if they're on when nothing better is. xD |

I'm not too interested in it, but I've been watching the opening ceremony, loved the fact that dizzee and tinie tempah got their music played  . It's also quite awesome living 10 mins away xD.

I really wish I were watching the opening ceremonies tonight. I'm not big into watching sports, but I love everything that the Olympics stand for. |

Still watching the opening ceremony (I'm about 15 minutes behind live time). I'll be watching some of the events. Hopefully, I get my eyes on most of the tennis and football. |

Can you guys use spoilers if you're going to talk about the opening ceremony please? It hasn't aired in the US yet and I'd appreciate it if you would respect our different time zones and not spoil the show. |

You can still talk about while using spoiler tags ya know. If it was a show YOU wanted to see and it hadn't aired yet where you lived, you wouldn't want spoilers revealed either. Again, my request is not unreasonable so please just honor it and use spoiler tags. |

I've honestly never seen an European go into a movie topic and complain about spoiler tags. If you want to avoid spoilers, avoid a topic specifically about it. I could understand maybe if you wanted spoiler tags in a different topic where the Olympics came up, but in a topic actually about the Olympics people will talk about it. And they won't really be bothered to use spoiler tags. Anyway, I've seen small parts of football matches so far (Japan vs Spain and Uruguay vs UAE I think) which was okayish. I might watch some more footy, but I probably won't follow most of it.
