This year, I thought I'd get involved with the 40 Hour Famine and participate. For those of you who don't know what it is: the 40 Hour Famine is a World Vision initiative aimed at tackling hunger particularly in Ethiopia, East Timor, Nepal, Tanzania, Kenya, India and Laos. The focus country this year is Ethiopia, where more than 4.5 million people, mostly children, don't have enough food to eat and are experiencing the worst drought in 60 years. Got a few donations, I'm happy, but I was disappointed at some of the responses I got. Oh well, there's always next year!

I got "Sorry mate, I'm asleep"... which was weird, to say the least. I'll keep trying until Sept. 30 which is the latest day for which we can collect donations for World Vision.
