October 2012, 23:15 Why cater to the minority of students unwilling to spend an hour of their evenings on homework? I'm not arguing with you here, I just found this interesting. Did your homework only take you an hour on average? In my High School, we considered ourselves lucky if our homework only took us two hours.

My AP classes sometimes caused it to take longer, but then they were college prep.

We usually had to reach multiple chapters a day, fill out 3+ page packets, and take our own notes while reading the chapters. Then again, our Chemistry teacher decided that we should have been able to learn at a college level if we were in High School.

Then he got fired and I lost all faith in our school board) but I never took chemistry so I can't say for certain. I opted for the sciences with little to no math. Biology, environmental, zoology.

Although I'll never understand why we had to dissect a worm. Worms are really small and skinny. IT'S NOT EASY TO DISSECT THEM.

Unfortunately we only had two history classes, US History in 10th grade and World History in 11th. My school was very small, so our selection of classes sucked. We didn't get Chemistry until 11th grade.

English9, English10, English11, English12 and so on for the sciences, history, math. And then just explos.

Our subjects were broken down into certain groups. For example, we would have Algebra one year and Geometry another. Never both mixed together.
