'Sup guys! I've not been active on here (or any of Zathyus) for a while and I've been quietly lurking around from time to time. Anyway, I've been busy with Christmas shenanigans and tomfoolery, so I've not opened Photoshop in a good while so I felt like I'd take a crack at a simple design.

As per usual I've gone with using Outline's name/layout as the filler text and I even went for a small change on the logo, but obviously if I were to create this that would all change anyway. There's not a lot there and I'm still working on it but I'd like to get some feedback on it regardless; all comments and criticism welcome.

PS: The name comes from a Miles Kane song of the same name.
PPS: I've just noticed how ridiculously British I sounded by using the words "shenanigans" and "tomfoolery"

Winter is coming.
I quite like that category area - the repeated use of the circle would definitely be a strong design element to create unity. I feel the banner is lacking a bit, though, as it seems like it's floating a bit and it feels a bit fragile. I'd like to see it a bit more asserting and dominant - perhaps enclosed in a white box itself. :)

That's what I had in mind, so did that but dunno what to do for a submenu as of yet. See attached :)

looks really good so far, love the navigation too. Only complaint is the noise may be too strong for my liking

Noise is a tough one to get right because of all the different monitor settings. I'll lower it on my next revision. :)

The second version is definitely an improvement upon the first. The banner now stands out more and the repeated use of the circle is a nice touch. As for the submenu, I was thinking you could place it to the right of the "Outline" text?

I was thinking I might do it on the right of the header, but I'm not sure how. I'm unsure as to whether to do it in a list form (i.e. top to bottom) or do it horizontally (i.e. left to right). Then I'm also thinking there's surely a more innovative way to do it because either of those ways seems like a huge cop-out.

I say a horizontal navigation, tbh. And also a distrikt3 style :r

Really nice though, Kieran. always been a fan of your work. :P

The header area is too big for me to do something like from distrikt3; it also wouldn't be in-keeping with the rest of the design. I'm really quite stuck on it to be honest. Not sure what direction to go in at all.

Thanks though, Steven, means a lot. :)
